Sunday, 15 December 2024, marked the first day of the Christmas Novena. On this day, the relatives of the SDC members in the administration of the Society, along with the relatives of those serving their mission abroad, gathered for a Christmas event at the Dar il-Ħanin Samaritan Conference Centre. During this gathering, there was a reflection on our anticipation of Jesus’s birth, with the hope that one day we too will meet him face to face. This was followed by the School of Bethlehem, a prayerful meditation written by St George Preca, focusing on the divinity of the baby Jesus. Attendees expressed their joy with Christmas carols and their gratitude to God for the apostolate that the SDC carries out wherever it is present. The Superior General delivered a message, urging the relatives of the SDC members to pray for them to continue growing in their SDC vocation and in holiness. All attendees spent some time socialising and sharing their Christmas and New Year wishes.
