Between the 28th and 31st of January 2025, the SDC Centre of Poznań organised a live-in for its youth group in Lublin, 478 kilometres east of Poznań. Along the way, they stopped in Łódź to tour a museum housed in a former prison. In Lublin, they visited the Majdanek concentration camp to reflect on its tragic history and admired the frescoes of the Holy Trinity Chapel.
The group explored Lublin’s old city with guidance from Prof. B. Migut, who had recently visited the SDC General House in Malta, and Antek, a medical student. A key highlight was meeting the young people of the Parish of St. Staniślaw, with whom the group shared the SDC experience.
On the way back to Poznań, the group stopped in Sandomierz, Kielce, and Jaskinia Raj to explore its stalagmite-filled cave. The trip ended with a visit to the National Sanctuary in Częstochowa, where the participants prayed before the Black Madonna. This enriching trip fostered cultural enrichment, spiritual growth, and meaningful connections.
